Palimpsest, 2025 [Original]

[Palimpsest]: 

When we were born, each emotion was designed for a purposeful function. But when the world has had its way with us, through trauma, unexpected loss, challenges, and even the surprise of goodness in life, we carry the skeletons of what was meant to be:

The triangles to channel pressure.

The squares to demonstrate justice.

The circles to evoke peace.

… and instead, we become dysfunctional, misfiring objects of misdirected stress:

Internal pressure that clads us up; anger that awaits to burst out; peace-keeping that become our own collapse.

And when we look at the pieces, we search what it means to be whole. And somehow, through it, we find it,

eventually.
