What if emotions were places?

Painted without reference or predetermined imagery, each work unfolds instinctively until fragments of familiar spaces begin to emerge—rooms, landscapes, corridors, and structures that exist somewhere between memory and imagination.

Rather than depicting physical places, these paintings translate inner experiences into environments. Existing between abstraction and recognition, they invite viewers to wander through emotional landscapes where certainty gives way to intuition, and meaning is discovered rather than defined.

Fractured Genesis

This series explores the turbulence and turmoil of leaving a life of harm and learning trusting the unknown, but possible good. It explores the artist's personal experience in shattering the damage and hurt that violence, cultural norms, and toxic cycles incurred since birth. This collection is the grief of dismantling the inheritance of generational pain while trusting the planting of healthier beginnings.

Hidden Place

A sequel to "Fractured Genesis," this series captures the healing after the excision of patterns that poison the self.  It is a reclamation of the self; it is a blooming of life that was previously suppressed and in defiance and resilience, flourishes the way it was intended when designed in the hidden place, undefiled.

Emotional Anatomy

What were we before the world had its way with us?

"Emotional Anatomy" explores emotions through expressive geometry.

When we were born, each emotion was designed for a purposeful function. But as the world becomes us, through trauma, uenxpected loss, pride, and entitlement, we carry skeletons of what was meant to be.

And when we look at the pieces that are left, we search for what it means to be whole.

Somehow, for the lucky ones, we find it.

Metamorphic

What does it take to grow? Pressure. Appearing simultaneously as uterine forms and metamorphic rock formations, each work reflects the paradox of being shaped by forces beyond our control while emerging with a new and distinct identity.

Like stone formed through immense heat, pressure, and time, our experiences leave their marks—not as evidence of what has been endured, but as part of what makes us complex and unique. The womb-like forms speak to creation, renewal, and the origins of self, while the geological textures reveal the beauty of what is transformed through adversity.

These works invite reflection on the ways we are continually shaped by memory, environment, and experience—becoming landscapes unlike any that existed before.

Sharing Food, Sharing Feelings

Whether there is conversation at the table, food and feelings are there. We so often digest the food, but forget to digest the feelings that prompt the breaking of bread.

"Sharing Food, Sharing Feelings" is a series exploring the memories and emotional undercurrents we carry with the food we share together.
